| Alright, so the show went really well! we were practicly a packed house
from 6 till 8 when it was supposed to close, but we accidently told
people and put on our postcards open till 9 so people kept walking in
till 8:45 and then we had to kick people out at 9:10! so alot more
people then i ever thought came. that and both illustration and fine
art teachers gave us compliments!
now about this where jeremy is going to live nonsence... .oy vey. i
think ive decided that if SAWSO (The Salvation Army World Service
Office) calls me back then iam going with them, and thats in Virginia.
and if that dosnt fall through i think i might be staying in sarasota
as the youth leader at the corps here. but i keep thinking about moving
to south carolina.... oy vey... i think for sure i want to visit my
grandparents for a week or two this summer and check out south
carolina.
oy thats it for now....

| had an interview with the director of admissions from New York Academy
of Art... thinking about grad work. sounds like a good deal, the head
of the painting dept. takes students out to galleries, and gets them
talking to people and learning about how to get in galleries and
what they should do about all sorts of stuff. the school is like
a concentration in figureative work and designed to get their students
into galleries. any the admissions guy, Andrew Mueller... i think i
spelled that right. well he really liked my stuff and gave me alot of
good info. it was like a portfolio review really.
so thats one option, i was also thinking about teaching elementry
school art class. that would be fun, so maybe for next semester iam
going to try and help out at an elementry school? sounds like fun. and
then when i get off, i'll work on my paintings and try and get into
galleries on my own.
eh... God put me in the right direction.
ohh so redid my website, i suggest you go check it out! www.rsad.edu/~jschramm
still working on it and ive heard that some things dont work correctly
soooo, umm, just try it out! put up some pics from my chile trip in
there too, its on the links page!

| made it home from the hurricane alright! it was interesting to see all
the destruction in ft lauderdale and start to drive accross aligator
alley seeing only signs, bill boards, and trees that arent native to
florida down. then getting over to naples and finally sarasota and
everyone having their power on and no damage at all. have you ever
thought we were to sophiticated for our own good? i mean the only
things i saw that were messedup badly were things that werent native to
floridas landscape. ive been having this longing to lead a more simpler
life. during my devotions the past two nights in luke chapter 9 and 10
i think , Jesus has told people to go out with nothing and completely
rely on others as they go into towns, which in turn is completely
relying on him and having that faith that God will take care of his
children. eh... still not a complete thought, working it out.
but anyway the family made it through just fine, our house is fine, we
only had some shingles fly off and some from our next door neighboors
house fell onto our roof creating craters in our shingles. then all the
trees were either uprooted and laying down, snaped in half, or all the
leaves were taken off. so thats about it. ohh my dads car door was
flung open by the wind and me and him jumped in about half calf waters
in front of our house to tie it down cause the wind had bent the frame
so it wouldnt close! fun stuff.
besides all that heres a song from Super Chick... "We Live" good stuff
There's a cross on the side of the road Where a mother lost a son How could she know that the morning he left Would be their last time she'd trade with him for a little more time So she could say she loved him one more time And hold him tight But with life we never know
When we're coming up to the end of the road So what do we do then With tragedy around the bend?
Chorus: We live we love We forgive and never give up Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above Today we remember to live and to love We live we love We forgive and never give up Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above Today we remember to live and to love
There is a man who waits for the tests To see if the cancer has spread yet And now he asks, "So why did I wait to live till it was time to die?" If I could have the time back how I'd live Life is such a gift So how does the story end? Well this is your story and it all depends So don't let it become true Get out and do what we are meant to do
Chorus
Waking up to another dark morning People are mourning The weather in life outside is storming But what would it take for the clouds to break For us to realize each day is a gift somehow, someway So get our heads up out of the darkness And spark this new mindset and start to live life cuz it ain't gone yet And tragedy is a reminder to take off the blinders And wake up and live the life we're supposed to take up Moving forward with all our heads up cuz life is worth living
Chorus (to fade)
